About
About Read to Speak
Turning the English you understand into the English you speak — through a calm, structured, reading-to-speaking method.

The founder
Ahmed Magdy
Founder & author · Read to Speak
Read to Speak is the work of Ahmed Magdy, an English teacher who grew tired of watching motivated learners understand almost everything they read and hear — and still freeze when it was time to speak.
Across years in the classroom, one pattern kept repeating: the missing piece was never more grammar or longer word lists. It was a clear, repeatable path from rich input to spoken output. Read to Speak is that path, distilled into books any adult learner can follow on their own.
The goal has never been to teach about English. It is to help you use it — to read carefully chosen passages and then, while the language is still fresh, say the ideas out loud in your own words.
The method, briefly
A clear path from the page to the conversation.
Every unit follows the same rhythm — read a levelled passage, absorb high-value vocabulary in real context, then use guided prompts to speak immediately. Input you understand becomes output you produce, in the same session.
Who it’s for
Made for adults who want to speak, not just study.
Read to Speak is built for motivated learners who already understand some English and want a structured way to finally speak it.
Adult learners
Independent learners who want a calm, self-paced path they can trust — no classroom required.
University students
Students who need to speak with clarity and confidence for study, presentations, and academic life.
Working professionals
Professionals who read and write English at work but want to speak it fluently in meetings and conversations.
Read to Speak serves learners across the Gulf, Jordan, Iraq, Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, and beyond.
What we stand for
The principles behind every page.

Plain, well-structured material that respects your time and never overwhelms.
Speaking is the goal
Everything is designed to end in you talking — not just quietly understanding.
Structure you can trust
A consistent, level-based system from A2 to C1, with no guesswork.
Honest and calm
No hype and no shortcuts — steady progress you can actually feel.
Trust & community
Built in the open, shared every day.
Read to Speak grows alongside a community of learners who follow the method across social channels. Learner stories and results will be featured here as the collection grows.
